4th of July

What do you think our fore fathers were thinking?  Funny how back in 1776 our congress adopted the Declaration of Independence but today we cannot get our congress to agree on a budget or stay in session long enough during tough times. How cool was it for them to be basically starting a new nation, life.et c with independence? We celebrate this day with parades, fireworks, public servants giving speeches; cook outs just to name a few.  I know we take a lot for granted and some of us including me are a little spoiled but it isn’t it neat we can do things in this country that some only dream about.   This is a federal holiday and I am glad Lowes was open but all and all it is a great weekend and holiday.  I was thinking I know how some of them felt.  I have had a sense of independence within the last couple of years that is hard to beat.  I thank God every day for this new found freedom.  Our fore fathers had an idea for us and all and all it was a good one.  I was thinking of some of the names on the Declaration of Independence,   John Hancock, Sam Adams, Who by the way has a great beer named after him, Benjamin Franklin,  Thomas Jefferson, just to name a few.  So today when you are watching the fireworks, baseball games or parades, think what it was like for some of these guys.  Happy Fourth of July to all of you and as screwed up as this country can be what a great place to be from.  Until next time
