Graduations.

There are lots of graduations in and around the country this weekend.  It hits all of us, whether you’re working retail and people are coming in for last minute things, or you’re the proud parents giving a bar-be-que, or party for your now smart children.  I will be attending a graduation on Sunday June 5^th  2011 for two pretty important parts in my life.  Marley and Lucy!  Within six weeks they have learned some pretty cool things, no not Math, Reading, English, History, but sit, stay, drop it, down, etc. They have learned not to kick my butt in the driveway.  Yes they are pretty smart and I am proud of both of them.   I will not be having a party for them and they will not be getting gifts, but I am sure I can sneak some steak off the grill for them.  As with my Dogs, we have watched our kids grow to be fine young adults.  Sure you get irritated with the cell phones, grades, attitudes, etc, I get irritated with the barking, digging, etc also.  As you I am proud of this day and will think back to their youth and be glad they have finally reached this point in their life.  Terri asked me the other day if I was going to continue with them getting training.  I figured not right now, they will not be taking off for the summer hitting the beach, drinking like there is no tomorrow or staying out late past curfews. They will be in the same routine of getting in the crate when I am gone, eating me out of house and home, and greeting me when I get home like they had never seen me before.  Congratulations to all of the grads, two legged or four legged, it is a great day ot celebrate.  I am going to a Bar B Que, Now if they just were not afraid of the water, they are Golden Retrievers!    until next time!
